Twenty-Two birthday song

So, it seems i am twenty-two,
And yet I still feel like it's all new.

Drinking, smoking, I'm choking
On societies threads of life, What do I do?
Still I feel new to all of this

As the days go by, You ask me how i try,
to continue to be myself
Being positive is a negative,
My personality is nothing but a shelf,
collecting dusk, turning to rust,
Life is it's own self

And yet here i am working the same job,
Dealing with societies snobs,
But I'll continue to smile
holding back the bile,

Forcing myself not to flee...
Hopefully it'll be better when i turn twenty-three...
